We have been very busy lately trying to soak up all the fun before summer is over. Nana came to visit the first weekend in August and we went to the Museum of Life and Science. There is so much to see and do...
I played some musical instruments...
Hung out on the slide...They have a huge playground I'm just itching to explore when I start walking.
I loved watching the animals at the petting zoo, especially the cow. Daddy petted her, but they couldn't convince me to try.
BUGS!!! We looked at all kinds of bugs and animals before going to the butterfly center. Creepy roaches, crawling spiders, and even cool frogs!
I really liked the bug learning area because they had books and puzzles. We spent a lot of time playing here.
I was pretty tired after all of that fun, but I wanted to check out some stuff inside...
This is me konked out on the ride home in my big girl car seat!
I took my first bubble bath while Nana visited. Mommy thought I would get the biggest kick out of playing in the bubbles because I like when she blows them. I must say, I wasn't that thrilled. I mean, it was okay, but what was the big deal?
We went to visit Ms. Kendria because it was her last day as a one's teacher. They had yummy desserts and more toys I could possibly imagine. I had fun reading books with Theodore!
Last weekend, we went to the Farmer's Market and walked around Pittsboro. There were all kinds of people to watch...dogs too!
Around the house...
Mommy and daddy bought me cool activity tables to help me practice pulling up and standing. Well now that I have them, I want to finally pull up on the sofa and other sturdy things! I still play with the tables though...
A puzzle and a book all in one. A dream come true!
Where did Zo go?
Playing catch with Zoey has the been the new hit, I managed to hurt our friendship by multiple attempts to pull her beautiful hair. So now I am trying to make it up to her. Mommy and Daddy have warned me that once I start this game, Zoey will never stop!
Believe it or not, this is the happy face I make after I throw it. It used to follow with a weird giggle, but you can hear somewhat of a grunting noise below.
Good thing we got this on tape because Zoey popped the ball shortly after...way to go Zo!
Attitude or Personality?
I am developing quite the personality so the grown ups say. They just can't handle that I know what I want...when I want it...where I want it... even if I can't do it, but I don't want help...anyway I'll admit I haven't got it completely figured out yet. It is obvious that I do have a mind of my own.
I am learning the meaning of "No." Doesn't mean I like it too much or may listen to it all the time. Some tempting factors: doggy water bowl, cat tails, climbing steps, entertainment center buttons to name a few.
I am beginning to be quite choosey when it comes to my eating habits. Vegetables are absolutely last on my plate and I love, LOVE macaroni and cheese. I am now drinking out of a sippy cup, but I refuse to slow down when drinking so a lot of it ends up in my lap. As my finale, I usually just let go of my cup to fall where else??? ON THE FLOOR!
Mommy and daddy pretty much cannot eat anything without me waiting by their side. And just incase they don't notice me, I climb into their lap! Here I am enjoying a popsicle even though it is VERY cold!
