Go Heels!

I went to my first UNC basketball the Thursday before Christmas. These people are crazy about their Tar Heels! I was a little tired so we left at half time. I enjoyed clapping and kept pointing to the screen and players. We were there to see Hansbrough break the UNC point record and that was pretty neat...at least they tell me it was.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree! How lovely are thy branches!


Mommy was so worried about me wanting to get into the Christmas tree, she bought me a mini one of my own. I decorated it with candy canes. No hooks, glass, painted ornaments...pretty safe right? Let's just say this season, I am going to have the freshest breath for Santa. I learned that if I just keep sucking on the candy cane with the plastic wrapper, eventually something real sweet comes out :) Here's some pics of me putting up my tree with Daddy.










Raking leaves....it's a hard job, but someone's gotta do it.



Daddy proved to me that sometimes he doesn't know his own strength, that Superdad of mine! In the video, you can hear him raking the leaves for my enjoyment.


Before you know it, the rake was in two pieces.

(For all you Happy Gilmore fans, mom wondered if dad was simply testing it's durability and he placed it in the woods cause it's made of wood and dad thought it should be with it's family.)

Next dad got out the blower to finish the job. I was up for the challenge to do my fair share...





I am really getting along well with my pets now. The cat likes to be patted and I am really, really good at it.


Zoey and I play tug of war. I get SO mad when she wins and takes off with the her own toy. How dare she! Looks like sharing with dogs is just as hard as sharing with children.


I have been experimenting with crayons. I pick one up, touch it to the paper and wait for it to do it's job. Apparently my crayons need new batteries! Mommy's crayons always work, it's not fair. So I just dump and fill mine in a box.
I love stickers! I have mastered how to put them on the paper. I know it doesn't sound too fancy, but it's hard to get them to face the right way. Good fine motor practice.

I went to visit Santa early to beat the holiday rush. Mommy figured I would scream and cry, but I didn't do too bad.

November has come and almost gone...

I went to Disney the week before Thanksgiving. I have been looking at pictures of Mickey, watching his show, and even did dry runs to see just how long I could go without napping before I was a total wreck! We did everything we could to ensure a magical trip except...

Finding the magical cure to not pick up sick germs. That's right. What mommy thought was a teething out of routine child behavior was simply an out of control cold. I went to the doctor mid trip because I started wheezing. To make it short...After a breathing treatment, steroids, antibiotics, and a follow up visit, I was good to go..... FOR OUR LAST DAY AT WDW! I still did pretty good considering and had fun on Pirates, eating my first Mickey bar, playing on the beach at our hotel, beating on drums, and winning the battle of a totally french fry diet. Who could ask for more? I even did pretty good meeting the characters if someone was holding me. Here is a video of me being mesmerized on Small World.

My second Thanksgiving was quite eventful. We went to Peyton's house for round one and Uncle Josh and Aunt Gwen's for round two of the feast. I felt like I was back in Louisiana all over again. But who can resist mac-n-cheese and mashed potatoes, right?

Usually, at least I'm told, a nap or football game is in order at the end of the day if not between meals. I was having none of that. That food did the total opposite to me.(Or could it be the lack of naps I got today? Mmmm) Here are videos of me acting super silly with mommy and showing off some of my skills.

No, this is not a hoax. In fact, I usually don't play with this puzzle because I prefer the puzzle that makes animal sounds. Mommy and daddy even made me repeat this three times making sure the pieces were not in the same order. They have no faith in me! No telling how many times I'll have to practice my spelling words in a few years!

Mimi got me some adorable squeaker shoes. Here I am testing them out. Please excuse my belly hanging out of my shirt and crazy hair. Mommy spent the morning getting her hair cut so daddy was in charge of dressing me.

My many talents...

I sure have been having fun outside with the beautiful fall weather. I am obsessed with leaves: the way they feel, rip, crumble, fall off the trees, and taste! Next week, we'll be raking the yard. I can't wait!







Mommy and daddy have taken notice to my crouching skills. I have earned the nickname "crouching tiger." Daddy still sits like this, and I have picked up this trait too. I also am showing off my wonderful bed head! As, Mr. Patrick calls it...my rock star do!




CAUGHT RED HANDED! Yep, mommy caught me digging in her purse...You know what this means. HINT! HINT!

My favorite animal sound comes from the monkey. I have a favorite tape story called Animal Boogie and that is where I hear it. I usually do it when asked and when I see one. But lately, many other animals make that sound too!



Daddy has been burning the midnight oil this week so I did my share to help around the house.


SCORE!...Hopefully, I won't break the window again.(Please excuse my mommy's singing...)

I can find mommy and daddy's nose and eyes. I now know a new body part and I wanted to be very thorough when mommy asked me to locate it.

Happy Halloween!

As you can see, I was a cow for Halloween. I also started walking on Halloween....how bout that! I have been taking steps here and there. Mom liked to call it, "step, step, PLOP!" I got up to five steps on Halloween so we figured it was official enough.


I went trick-or treating with my monkey pal, Peyton. I wasn't sure what the hub bub was all about. BUT, I never got to ride in my wagon at night!






Mommy and daddy had a huge Halloween Party. I only lasted for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, but I heard daddy kicked butt at bat races...

Fall is Here!

Uncle Brett and Aunt Amy came to visit last weekend and we had such a good time. We were supposed to go to the pumpkin patch, but the weather was pretty yucky so we carved a pumpkin instead!


I'm not sure if I like the inside of a pumpkin, but they kept trying to get me to dive in!


You've got to be kidding me...


Ta da! It's either a mickey pumpkin or a wide-mouthed ghost!


I had fun watching football with Uncle Brett and it felt good to have other LSU fans by my side!

My first NFL game!

We went to the Panther vs. Saints game on Sunday. The Saints took a beating, but we still had a good time. We were even brave enough to sport our "Who Dat" gear...
