Happy Halloween!

As you can see, I was a cow for Halloween. I also started walking on Halloween....how bout that! I have been taking steps here and there. Mom liked to call it, "step, step, PLOP!" I got up to five steps on Halloween so we figured it was official enough.


I went trick-or treating with my monkey pal, Peyton. I wasn't sure what the hub bub was all about. BUT, I never got to ride in my wagon at night!






Mommy and daddy had a huge Halloween Party. I only lasted for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, but I heard daddy kicked butt at bat races...

Fall is Here!

Uncle Brett and Aunt Amy came to visit last weekend and we had such a good time. We were supposed to go to the pumpkin patch, but the weather was pretty yucky so we carved a pumpkin instead!


I'm not sure if I like the inside of a pumpkin, but they kept trying to get me to dive in!

I had fun watching football with Uncle Brett and it felt good to have other LSU fans by my side!

My first NFL game!

We went to the Panther vs. Saints game on Sunday. The Saints took a beating, but we still had a good time. We were even brave enough to sport our "Who Dat" gear...

Uncle Reedy got me the cutest LSU Cheerleader outfit for my birthday so I had to wear it on game day. Although the tigers didn't put on much of a show, I sure did! Putting on my outfit turned me into a camera ham!





I've learned many new tricks when reading my books. I know when a book is upside down. Daddy even tried putting it upside down, but have the pages turn correctly and I still know what they are trying to pull!


Not only have I enriched my literature skills, but have developed such lovely ways to express my feelings! Here is just a glimpse of what Mommy and Daddy are seeing more everyday while I am reading.


Another trick that Mommy has tried and tried to get on camera, but I will not cooperate when asked to put on a show is: I have my favorite six or seven books memorized. Mommy will just start one of my stories out loud, and I will go grab it out of the stack and bring it to her to read. Isn't that something? I know, I amaze myself sometimes!

Mommy and daddy are getting me ready for Disney by playing Disney music and I have a favorite song. Here I am getting down and I even take a couple of steps. Don't get all worked up and excited, I am just not ready to walk yet. But if it makes me a better dancer, I might reconsider...


Here is more talking. Zoey and I are trying to have a conversation and mommy is butting in even though she has no clue what we are discussing.


Sunday, I played outside and am finally putting my push toy to good use. I would rather try to push it around rocky dirt than inside...go figure!

Lila's two!

We went to Pullen Park on Sunday for Lila's birthday party. We go way back. She was in mommy's class and would come and visit me in the infant room. We'd share cheerios, toys, and hugs. So I had to see her on her big day!

We are even making the same squinting face for our picture. Who's the genius that had us face the sun?


Guess who else I saw at the party...OWEN!!!! We hung out together on the carousel and train. Both of us were pretty tired after all that party fun.


I did pretty good on the carousel, but it took forever to get going. First I sat on a moving horse next to O


But I decided it wasn't for me so daddy moved to the seats...


The carousel still hadn't started and I calmed down so then I sat on a deer for the ride.


Putting leaves on rocks, swinging, and playing with Daddy were favorites too...

NC ZOO

Fun at the Zoo

We went to the NC zoo Saturday with Grant and his family. I was such a trooper and loved hanging out with Grant. Here are some of my favorite moments...

Where's the striped horse?


I spent a lot of time hanging out with the chimpanzee. We had a staring contest, made silly faces, and watched him yawn. I guess I was boring him.






Believe it or not, he was just yawning...but he could really look mean if he tried!


I was fascinated by the dancing in the plaza by the Native Americans. Such bright costumes making cool noises. Dad had to hold me back because I was ready to join them!






Grant was my buddy. We hung out int he wagon, watched the sea lions together, and even shared hugs and kisses. Don't worry it was all under adult supervision!








I liked watching the sea lions pass by (when I could keep track of them), but I stood by this crazy kid who was way more excited than me. I don't know which was more entertaining!!!


It was a great trip and I tried my best to hang till the very end...but I just couldn't hold on!
But I didn't go down without a fight!




Of course,I was wide awake in the car ride home...



You would think I would be worn out after spending the day at the zoo with about a 20 minute nap, but I was ready to party. We went to Josh and Tina's housewarming party. I felt like I was at the zoo all over again. I loved petting Gomer, the dog bigger than me. I also was fascinated with Tokyo, their iguana.

Mom brought out the pots and pans one rainy day. I enjoyed making some noise!

I love to be outside. I even hang out by the sliding glass door and cry to go out with Zoey. I'm really into filling and dumping things even on my new slide. Mom scored a free play structure when she worked at First Environments and I love exploring my new form of outside entertainment!
