Lila's two!

We went to Pullen Park on Sunday for Lila's birthday party. We go way back. She was in mommy's class and would come and visit me in the infant room. We'd share cheerios, toys, and hugs. So I had to see her on her big day!

We are even making the same squinting face for our picture. Who's the genius that had us face the sun?


Guess who else I saw at the party...OWEN!!!! We hung out together on the carousel and train. Both of us were pretty tired after all that party fun.


I did pretty good on the carousel, but it took forever to get going. First I sat on a moving horse next to O


But I decided it wasn't for me so daddy moved to the seats...


The carousel still hadn't started and I calmed down so then I sat on a deer for the ride.


Putting leaves on rocks, swinging, and playing with Daddy were favorites too...

NC ZOO

Fun at the Zoo

We went to the NC zoo Saturday with Grant and his family. I was such a trooper and loved hanging out with Grant. Here are some of my favorite moments...

Where's the striped horse?


I spent a lot of time hanging out with the chimpanzee. We had a staring contest, made silly faces, and watched him yawn. I guess I was boring him.






Believe it or not, he was just yawning...but he could really look mean if he tried!


I was fascinated by the dancing in the plaza by the Native Americans. Such bright costumes making cool noises. Dad had to hold me back because I was ready to join them!






Grant was my buddy. We hung out int he wagon, watched the sea lions together, and even shared hugs and kisses. Don't worry it was all under adult supervision!








I liked watching the sea lions pass by (when I could keep track of them), but I stood by this crazy kid who was way more excited than me. I don't know which was more entertaining!!!


It was a great trip and I tried my best to hang till the very end...but I just couldn't hold on!
But I didn't go down without a fight!




Of course,I was wide awake in the car ride home...



You would think I would be worn out after spending the day at the zoo with about a 20 minute nap, but I was ready to party. We went to Josh and Tina's housewarming party. I felt like I was at the zoo all over again. I loved petting Gomer, the dog bigger than me. I also was fascinated with Tokyo, their iguana.

Mom brought out the pots and pans one rainy day. I enjoyed making some noise!


Big huge boxes are so cool!


I love to be outside. I even hang out by the sliding glass door and cry to go out with Zoey. I'm really into filling and dumping things even on my new slide. Mom scored a free play structure when she worked at First Environments and I love exploring my new form of outside entertainment!

It's my Birf-day!

Sunday, September 28th I turned one. Can you believe it? A whole year has passed by... We were supposed to go to the zoo on Saturday. Everyone was geared up and ready to go...but the weather didn't look too promising.

Mommy and daddy were kinda relieved because they had a lot to do to get ready for my party. I had such a great time playing in the backyard, opening presents, and eating cake and ice cream.

I was a little curious why all these people where singing the same song...

Aunt Amy and Uncle Brett got me the coolest card ever! They know I'm going to Disney World in November for the first time, so they are getting me ready. Guess what? Potsey had the same idea! Now mommy and daddy get to hear it upstairs and downstairs!


I'm finally letting mommy and daddy help me walk. Getting around gets me excited!


Down by the Beach

We decided to go to Myrtle Beach the third weekend in September. It was pretty cloudy at the beach making it just a little chilly. I still had fun playing in the sand and on the shore. They had the coolest baby pool. I was itching to go in it, even though it was an ice bath. Mommy and daddy let me go for a while, but it was just too chilly.

Grandparent's Day 2008

I made a card for all my grandparents this year. It included festive artwork by yours truly and a picture. I went for the lil' pumpkin theme...figured they would eat that up! (They totally did!)

Here are some pics of me "role playing" for the pictures and working on my art piece. Mom doesn't understand why I think it is okay to play with the fake pumpkins now that my photo shoot is over. HELLO...they're fake anyway!








I am becoming quite the splasher. I like to wet the walls in the bathroom when daddy gives me a bath. He doesn't mind, right? Well, apparently mommy does. I am beginning to realize real quick who the "fun" one is... This is me splashing in my pool.




My birthday came early!!!
I got a Playhut for my upcoming birthday and I love it! I especially like when daddy plays with me!





Carolina Rollergirls Rock!!

We went to see the Rollergirls and it was pretty interesting. Mommy wasn't sure what we were getting into because those girls looked pretty tough on the website. It was fun, but very hot!! I had fun cheering, watching the game, and hanging out with Tony and Courtney!

I had a nice surprise hanging out in our backyard. Our next door neighbor's doggy came to visit. Quincy is so sweet!
